Xiaomi announced today that it will hold a press conference for the new product of Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition 5G and MIUI 12 at 2 pm on April 27, Beijing time.
Subsequently, MIUI announced the new features of MIUI 12 in advance on Weibo. The main feature is the upgrade of dark mode to dark mode 2.0.
MIUI said that Dark Mode 2.0 will have three characteristics:
1. Global coverage: 42 system applications are deeply adapted, 20 mainstream applications are deeply customized for MIUI, and a large number of three-party applications now support nonlinear inverse color algorithms;
2. Powerful nonlinear color inversion algorithm, accurately identify interface elements, and dynamically inverse color for each interface object;
3. The inverse color algorithm is based on Lab and HSV color spaces, and the inverse color adaptation is wider and more natural.
MIUI 12 Dark Mode 2.0 x automatically adjusts the contrast.
1. Get through the dark mode and night mode, and automatically adjust the brightness of the screen;
2. Adopt color design conforming to WCAG standard, high color selection contrast and clearer content in bright light environment;
3. In the dark light environment, the contrast is intelligently reduced according to the screen brightness, and it is not dazzling at night.
Based on MIUI11's original dynamic font system, the system automatically adjusts the font weight in dark mode to reduce glare and blur and restores normal font weight in light mode to make reading more comfortable.
What to do if the wallpaper is too bright in dark mode? MIUI12 Dark Mode 2.0 supports smart dimming of wallpapers.
Rather than simply suppressing black, it is accurate dimming at the pixel level, simulating the change of light and dark in the real world.
