TikTok's downloads in the Google Play store have exceeded 1 billion.
TikTok has always been at the forefront of the free app rankings in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
In January this year, TikTok ranked No. 2 in the ranking of the most installed free apps on the Play Store, and ranked No. 3 in February.
YouTube will launch a short video feature called "Shorts" by the end of the year to combat TikTok.
