China's smartphone shipments in July fell 35.5 percent year-on-year to 21.256 million units, data released today showed.
In July, China's overall mobile phone shipments were 22.301 million units, down 34.8 percent year-on-year, the data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), a government think tank, showed.
From January to July, China's overall mobile phone market shipments totaled 175 million units, down 20.4 percent year-on-year.
The shipments of 5G mobile phones were 13.911 million units, accounting for 62.4% of the total in July.
