Before the Lunar New Year, Tesla hired hundreds of new employees in China. According to the original plan, these employees will be recruited after the year.

Affected by the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, these employees have to postpone registration until February 10, the report quoted Gong Wei, general manager of Shanghai Lingang Innovation Economic Development Service Co., Ltd.

"Even so, more than 300 people are coming to Shanghai. Most of them have no accommodation and it is difficult to rent a house during this time."

Gong Wei said, "We prepared multiple plans, and finally selected two public rental houses in the industrial area that were rented before sale, and more than 200 of them were sourced, which is enough to meet the rental needs of these Tesla employees."

In addition, the Lingang Service Company also prepared spare dormitories for employees and clarified the situation of surrounding hotels to cope with more employees who may arrive in Shanghai. The Lingang New Area Management Committee has launched a talent apartment in the main urban area of Lingang to divert a group of employees.

In recent days, two job fairs for Tesla have been held in full swing, mainly recruiting employees in the quality, logistics and painting workshops that are urgently needed in the production line.

During the outbreak of the new coronavirus pneumonia, offline testing was naturally unavailable, and Lingang Talent Company managed to open up a new online interview channel.

Shen Bo, assistant director of operations at Shanghai Lingang Caohejing Talent Co., Ltd., which provides human resources services to Tesla China, said that Tesla proposed on the 19th that it hopes to arrange an online interview on February 22. They coordinated over 250 Applicants successfully completed the interview.

When the applicants of this group of people come to the factory to report, the talent company will work with the management committee, service company, and company in the industrial area to settle the follow-up work.

More and more workers are becoming more and more skilled. Sun Xiaohe believes that "this year's output must be an upward trend."

With the expansion of production capacity, the frequency of access to materials and vehicles will naturally increase.

Liu Ming, general manager of Lingang Industrial Zone Economic Development Co., Ltd. said that Tesla Super Factory hopes to widen the entrance and exit roads of the factory from 12 meters to 24 meters.

"The project requires approval procedures. We assist Tesla in communicating and coordinating. We need to prepare the surrounding land for leveling and other preparations as soon as possible. In short, let them have the starting conditions as soon as possible."
