Xiaomi has announced that Peng Zhibin, former vice president of Chinese property developer Country Garden, has joined Xiaomi as its Chief Human Resource Officer (CHO).
Peng Zhibin will be responsible for Xiaomi's strategic planning and development of human resources and the construction of the human resources management system, and will report to Lei Jun, CEO, and Wang Xiang, President of Xiaomi.

Previously, Peng Zhibin was vice president and general manager of the Human Resource Center of Country Garden Group, and President of Lanzhou Region, where he was responsible for Country Garden Group's human resource management for nearly 10 years.
Peng Zhibin has also worked for Cofco Property, Watson Wyatt Worldwide, ZTE Corporation and China Railway Siyuan Group.
During his tenure at ZTE, he was in charge of human resource management at the group's headquarters and later served as the head of human resources for ZTE's overseas region.
Since 2020, Xiaomi has brought in Chang Cheng, Yang Zhe and Zeng Xuezhong as its top executives.
Lei Jun said Peng Zhibin has more than a decade of experience in human resources management and is a renowned human resources expert. The addition of Peng Zhibin will help Xiaomi to improve its HR system and help it to attract more talented people.
