Electric car catches fire while waiting at a traffic light in Shenzhen-CnTechPost

On August 12, a white pure electric car, waiting for a traffic light at an intersection in Shenzhen suddenly caught fire, with the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames, according to kkj.cn.

A later report on thepaper.cn said the vehicle was a white GAC Trumpchi electric car, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Fortunately, the accident did not result in any casualties.

In May of this year, a user uploaded a video on Weibo showing a white GAC New Energy Aion S catching fire in a park parking lot in Guangzhou.

The fire caught the Audi A6L parked next to the car, causing both cars to burn down.

GAC New Energy said at the time that the preliminary results of the investigation showed that the fire was caused by the use of alcohol in the vehicle to disinfect it, resulting in high alcohol content.

No specific reason has been given as to what caused this electric car in Shenzhen to catch fire.
