Apple is planing to launch a series of bundles dubbed “Apple One” to let customers subscribe to several of the company’s digital services at a lower monthly price, Bloomberg reported Thursday citing familiar with the matter.
The bundles are planned to launch as early as October alongside the next iPhone line, the people said.
They are designed to encourage customers to subscribe to more Apple services, which will generate more recurring revenue.
There will be different tiers, with a basic package including Apple Music and Apple TV+, while a more expensive variation including those two services and the Apple Arcade gaming service. The next tier will add Apple News+, followed by a pricier bundle with extra iCloud storage for files and photos, the report said.
Earlier today, famed leaker Jon Prosser said Apple will hold its iPhone 12 launch event the week of October 12, with pre-orders starting later that week and shipments beginning the following week.
Prosser also said that Apple will release the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad via press release the week of September 7.
For Apple, launching the Apple Watch before the new iPhone is a very different approach.
Prosser said "this is the info in the system," but the date could be delayed or changed due to the phased release of the iPhone 12 and uncertainty over the final release date of the Pro version.
