Apple will hold its iPhone 12 launch event the week of October 12, with pre-orders starting later that week and shipments beginning the following week, famed leaker Jon Prosser said today.
Prosser also said that Apple will release the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad via press release the week of September 7.

For Apple, launching the Apple Watch before the new iPhone is a very different approach.
Prosser said "this is the info in the system," but the date could be delayed or changed due to the phased release of the iPhone 12 and uncertainty over the final release date of the Pro version.
Last month, Prosser said the iPhone 12 model and the new iPad would launch in October.
Previously, Apple's chief financial officer Luca Maestri confirmed at a financial meeting in late July that the iPhone 12 would be available a few weeks later than usual this year, but did not say why the new iPhone was delayed or why supplies were limited.
