Today, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines brought in their first ARJ21 aircraft from the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac)'s final assembly and manufacturing center in Pudong, China.
This marks the official integration of ARJ21 aircraft into the fleets of major international airlines.
In August 2019, the three major airlines announced purchases of ARJ21 aircraft at almost the same time.
They each purchased 35 ARJ21s from COMAC, averaging about 270 million yuan each, with 35 aircraft scheduled to be delivered in batches from 2020-2024.

The aircraft has been developed with China's flight environment in mind. The aircraft is able to meet the operational requirements for airport landings and takeoffs in the central and northern regions of China, as well as for obstacle-crossing on complex flight routes. High-temperature plateau performance and anti-slide wind capability.
ARJ21 airliner was approved by the state in April 2002 to establish a project and successfully made its maiden flight in Shanghai on November 28, 2008.
It successfully completed its maiden flight on June 28, 2016, achieving a zero breakthrough in the domestic jetliner on China's route.
