In the supply chain assessment, TSMC originally planned to trial-produce the 3nm process at the end of this year, and will also postpone it early next year.
The report stated that TSMC should still be mass-producing a 3nm process in 2022 as originally planned.
In addition, TSMC was originally scheduled to announce details of the 3nm process at the North American Technology Forum on April 29, but due to the global spread of the epidemic, TSMC decided to postpone the first North American Technology Forum this year to August 24.
In the 3nm process, TSMC also faces competition from Samsung Electronics.
