Lenovo Group announced today that it has made an emergency donation of 150 laptops to Italy and delivered them to some schools in Milan.
This week, a number of authoritative Italian media outlets have reported on the "Alliance for Milanodigitale" program launched by the city of Milan, which pushes companies to donate equipment and share skills with the families of students whose teaching has been interrupted during the epidemic, with Lenovo donating a laptop as part of the program.
Luca Rossi, Lenovo Group Vice President and President, Middle East Africa and Latin America, said, "Lenovo is proud to answer Milan City Hall's call to donate 150 laptops to schools in Milan and deliver them to the students who need them most."
"Because of Lenovo's global reach, we are proud to give back to the communities where we live and work, and we are excited to help teachers and students stay in school."
In addition to this, the Lenovo Group also made a charitable donation to the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan.
The hospital is committed to treating patients with severe cases of neocoronary pneumonia and the funds will be used to purchase resuscitation equipment, ambulances and stretchers, to establish a special paediatric clinic and to strengthen the capacity of the emergency department.
