Chinese short video app Douyin (TikTok's Chinese version) released female user data on International Women's Day, showing that in 2020 female users of Douyin posted 21.35 million relationship-related videos and 53.06 million videos documenting moments of hard work.
And a total of 13.2 million women earned the income directly from the platform.
On average, 318,000 women posted selfie videos every day and silently deleted them. A total of 2.01 million female users posted fitness videos, with running, doing workouts, and boxing as the top three of their favorite sports, the data showed.
Female users will use Douyin to share their children, and the age of sharing children most frequently is 31 years old, followed by 26 years old.
It is worth mentioning that in 2020, female users of Douyin searched 73.67 million times for excavator-related content, of which 29.43 million times were for children's excavator toys, while other searches were mainly for videos with a large digging excavator.
The data also disclosed the shopping data of women on Douyin, with the top five provinces of female purchasing power as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, and Henan.
