On August 15, the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT) established a school named after Huawei in order to jointly train talent with the Chinese tech giant.
The university and Huawei co-hosted a signing ceremony and jointly unveiled the "Huawei School of Information and Network Technology," "School of Future Technology," and "5G Internet of Things Lab."
Hundreds of graduates from the university enter Huawei each year, and the graduates rank fifth in the total number of Huawei employees.
Yan Jiangang, Huawei's director of school-company cooperation in China, said the two sides will take advantage of their leading advantages in 5G and IoT technology direction, focus on the future society's smart IoT revolutionary and disruptive technology talent needs, and jointly cultivate innovative composite professionals.
