Jay Chou launched his first Chinese social media account on Chinese video sharing app Kuaishou under the name "周同学" (means "classmate Chou"), certified as Jay Chou.
The profile says "Jay Chou's first Chinese-language social media account, unique to the entire network, only in Kuaishou”.
As of now the account has 7,000 followers and no work has been posted.
Kuaishou said there will be some cooperation between Jay Chou and Kuaishou early next month.
Earlier this year, Jay Chou's new variety show was featured on Kuaishou and made its Jay Chou variety debut.
Previously, Jay Chou was primarily vocal on instagram, with nearly 6 million followers, but did not have an account on the Chinese social media platform.
