The iPhone 12 will launch at about the same time as the iPhone X, as Apple will take advantage of the 5G-enabled super cycle, according to investment bank Wedbush.

As we get closer and closer to the release of the iPhone 12 series, there is more and more news about the devices, and recently photos of alleged molds for the "iPhone 12" have surfaced.

It has recently been reported that Chinese OLED supplier BOE's screens have failed inspections by several manufacturers and may not be available for use in the upcoming iPhone 12. However, Laoyaoba quoted a supply chain source as saying that the report was false.

The EEC database has been updated for Apple's new smartphone products, and the expected iPhone 12 series appears in the list, with a total of nine new model identifiers.

Apple will complete the second phase of the "EVT" or "Engineering Verification and Testing" phase for the upcoming iPhone 12 series at the end of June and begin production of the phone in July, according to DigiTimes.

Major Apple supplier Broadcom suggested the latest iPhones will be launched later than usual this year.

In addition to Samsung displays and LG displays, Chinese panel maker BOE will also be an OLED panel supplier for Apple's 5G iPhone, Digitimes said, citing sources. 

Production of Apple's upcoming 6.1-inch "iPhone 12" model will begin in July-August, ahead of the company's other flagship iPhone lineup this year, according to a new DigiTimes report. 

The release of the iPhone 12 series will be delayed by at least two months, and this year's iPhone launch will start in November instead of the usual mid-September, according to a new report from investment bank Cowen.

Samsung Display has secured nearly 80 percent of the orders for the OLED display for Apple's new iPhone 12, according to DigiTimes.
