A total of 79.83% of college students are willing to support local products and have expectations for the development of domestic brands, according to a recent survey by China Youth Daily.
The survey counted the opinions of 998 university students, of which 9.36% are keen to buy local products, 10.81% believe that the quality of local products needs to be improved compared to foreign products.
In terms of user experience, 83.75% of the respondents were satisfied with the status quo of local products, with excellent quality (52.60%), high cost performance (48.65%), good performance (45.74%) and good design (31.7%) as their reasons for buying local products.
Supporting the development and upgrading of local companies (48.65%) and supporting local product products and having a friendly feeling (50.83%) also contributed to the motivation of college students to support domestic brands.
In the case of mobile phones with similar functions, domestic brands tend to be more competitive in terms of price: "When buying electronic products, I will choose a price range that I can accept, so I tend to lock the range in domestic brands." Lin Yao, who was born in the "millennium", said.

The above survey showed that college students tend to buy and use local products in electronics (71.21 percent), clothing (75.16 percent), furniture and home appliances (50.94 percent), and skin care and makeup (42.2 percent).
"I think the progress of domestic products in recent years is very obvious, especially some smart home products with many surprising features," Xiu Zitong, a sophomore, was quoted in the report as saying.
"Our whole family uses Chinese mobile phones, and I've been using my current phone for a year and a half without any problems," Wu Yakun claimed.
"My parents have been using local electronic products since a long time ago, and now the local mobile phones are not only well advertised, but also have high performance and cost-effectiveness." Wu Yakun admitted that support for local product behavior cannot be generated without the progress of domestic electronic products.
