The Xiaomi Band, created by Chinese wearables maker Huami, has shipped 13.4 million units in the first half of 2020, winning the top spot in both the domestic and international markets.
Huami announced the results today at the Beyond GT Amazfit Fall 2020 launch event, where the company's CEO Huang Wang made the announcement.
The Xiaomi Band shipped 5.49 million units in China in the first half of 2020.
In addition, Huami Technology's watch brand Amazfit also achieved good results, shipping 1.74 million units worldwide in the first half of the year, up 48% year-on-year, ranking fifth in global smartwatch sales.
Huang Wang said Huami Technology has achieved growth against the global Covide-19 epidemic, creating a remarkable performance in the global smartband and smartwatch sectors.
He said that the reason behind this achievement is that Huami has the supply chain management and quality control capability with an annual shipment of 10 million units, which is rare for global smart hardware companies.
