Voice assistants have been around for a long time, but not all voice assistants can "survive".
Samsung's S Voice is the company's first attempt with competitors such as Google Now and Siri, which has not been successful. Now, Samsung finally announced that it will terminate the S Voice service in June.
SamMobile said that Samsung plans to terminate all devices that still use S Voice on June 1, 2020. This decision will not affect the vast majority of Samsung's users, as Samsung's Bixby has replaced S Voice in recent years.
For now, the only product that uses S Voice extensively is some of Samsung's smart watches.
The Smart Watch Gear S3 and Gear Sport for Android users have always used S Voice.
Fortunately, these watches will be updated to provide Bixby support.
Other Samsung smart devices still using S Voice include:
Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9
Galaxy Note FE
Galaxy Note 2, 3, 4, 5
Galaxy S3, 4, S5, S6, S6 Edge
Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
Galaxy W
Galaxy Tab 4
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 / 10.1
Galaxy Tab S8.4 and S10.5
It should be noted that these devices will not be updated to support Bixby.
S Voice only has some voice assistant functions. For example, it can make phone calls or set reminders, but it cannot answer inquiries in a conversation. Since the Galaxy S8 debuted, no Samsung products have been equipped with S Voice.
