Report: China has 300 million female gamers-CnTechPost

The number of Chinese gamers In 2019 reached 640 million, an increase of 2.5% over 2018, of which female gamers were 300 million, accounting for 46.2% of the total, according to a recent report.

The "2019 China Game Industry Report" released on December 25 said that although female gamers have occupied 46.2% of the total, their spending power is still not as good as male gamers.

The actual sales revenue to Chinese female gamers in 2019 was 52.68 billion, accounting for 22.8% of the overall game market revenue, a slight decrease from last year.

The actual sales revenue of the Chinese game market in 2019 was 230.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%.

Mobile games accounted for nearly 70% of overall marketing revenue, and the proportion of client-side and web games dropped to 26.6% and 4.3%, respectively.

Role-playing games are the most popular, with revenues of the top 100 mobile games, with role-playing games accounting for 54%; followed by strategy-based games, accounting for 14%; card, casual, simulation, shooting, chess and card share More than 10%.
