Apple is facing delays of between four weeks and two months for mass production of the four models in its 5G iPhones after postponements caused by factory lockdowns and workplace absences during the pandemic, the Nikkei Asian Review reported on Wednesday citing sources.

A leaker tweeted that Apple is working on prototypes to run macOS on the iPhone, which would allow users to plug the iPhone into a dock or display and have a full desktop experience.

It was previously reported that Apple will launch a 4G version of the iPhone 12. Now according to the IT Times, a staff from Pegatron's ChangShuo factory in Shanghai said "there are three iPhone 12 models being proofing and each is available in 4G and 5G versions."

Apple sold 3.6 million iPhones in China in May, down 7.7 percent from 3.9 million iPhones sold in April but was up from 3.05 million a year earlier, according to market research firm CINNO.

Starting next month, Apple will remove thousands of mobile games lacking government approval from its App Store in China, closing a loophole that the likes of Rockstar Games have relied on for years.

Apple's chip manufacturing partner TSMC will begin production of the A14 chip and Snapdragon X60 baseband this month for use in the 5G iPhone launching later this year, according to DigiTimes.

Famed leaked Jon Prosser tweeted today suggesting that Apple could use the 'iPhone OS' to name iOS 14 to align with iPadOS.

The iPhone 12 Pro and Huawei Mate 40 may be equipped with 120Hz high refresh rate screens. 

The unc0ver team rencently released version 5.2.0 of the iOS Jailbreak Tool, which supports the use of the tool on iOS 13.5.5 beta for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices jailbreak.

The iPhone 12 will launch at about the same time as the iPhone X, as Apple will take advantage of the 5G-enabled super cycle, according to investment bank Wedbush.
