Huawei announced at the HarmonyOS Partner Summit on Tuesday that the HarmonyOS hardware ecosystem has been rebranded as HarmonyOS Connect.

Huawei has started pushing HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta to users, meaning that more models will be involved in this test.

It allows Huawei Watch GT's wrist lift recognition rate to be improved by 80%, with a latency of less than 5ms and a model of less than 1KB.

Time magazine has selected the top 100 most influential companies in the world in 2021, and Chinese technology companies including Alibaba, Huawei, and Tencent are on the list.

Huawei's operating income for the quarter was 150.57 billion yuan, down about 17 percent from 180.61 billion yuan a year earlier.

Huawei Developer Day will open on April 28 in Guangzhou, including the main forum and four thematic sub-forums, the company said Thursday.

Huawei may adopt friendlier pricing, targeting the entry-level market, to spur demand and sales of foldable smartphones.

Some users speculate that Huawei's move may be the result of a shortage of charging ICs.

Huawei on April 14 launched an open-source solution called Choice SDK that turns existing Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps into Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) apps.

"This team can keep researching, developing, and preparing for the future," Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said.
