Chinese robotics maker Unitree announced the opening of its official shared application platform, UniStore, aiming to make developing and downloading new robot apps as simple as using a smartphone app.

This is the world's first humanoid robot task and action app store, according to a Unitree announcement on Thursday.

UniStore is currently compatible with the Unitree G1 humanoid robot and has minimum system version requirements, according to information on the platform's website.

Unitree has currently made actions including dancing, boxing, and striding available on the platform.

The launch of the app platform comes a week after the Hangzhou-based startup unveiled its R1 series dual-arm humanoid robot, with a starting price of 26,900 yuan ($3,949).

The new product focuses primarily on upper-body dual-arm manipulation capabilities, supporting flexible adjustments of 15 to 31 degrees of freedom. The entire series supports secondary development and smart over-the-air (OTA) upgrades.

To meet higher-level computing demands, customers can optionally equip the robot with Nvidia's high-computing modules to suit developers' application needs across diverse scenarios.

In addition to its continued push in software and hardware, Unitree has recently accelerated its expansion into the offline consumer market, with its first direct-sale store officially opening in Beijing's Wangfujing commercial district last week.

While expanding its domestic offline retail network, the company is actively broadening its global commercial footprint through cross-border e-commerce platforms, selling low-priced humanoid robots overseas.

The humanoid robot business became Unitree's largest source of revenue in 2025, driving a massive 335.4% surge in the company's annual operating revenue last year.

As the world's top company by humanoid robot shipments last year, the manufacturer is currently in a period of rapid expansion, with its 2025 operating revenue reaching 1.708 billion yuan.

Unitree is preparing for an initial public offering of up to 4.2 billion yuan on Shanghai's STAR Market. The raised funds will be primarily used for the research and development of embodied AI models and the expansion of its manufacturing bases.

Unitree's humanoid robot has reached a tested peak speed of 10 meters per second, rapidly approaching Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt's human limit of 10.44 m/s.
