Chinese embodied AI startup LimX Dynamics has launched the LimX Luna, a full-size interactive humanoid robot, with an official guide price of 298,000 yuan ($43,840), targeting the commercial interaction sector.

The new product marks the accelerated shift of humanoid robot applications from simple action displays to interaction and content operations in commercial spaces.

In terms of hardware specifications, the LimX Luna stands 160 centimeters tall and features 27 degrees of freedom across its body, according to information released by the company on Monday.

The robot is equipped with LimX Dynamics' in-house developed second-generation System 0 whole-body motion control foundation model.

This enables it to precisely coordinate its full-body joints, easily perform high-difficulty movements such as the splits, and demonstrate strong dynamic expressiveness.

To meet the long-term operational needs of commercial scenarios, the LimX Luna has comprehensively upgraded its thermal management system.

Its core temperature control metrics have decreased by 30% compared to the previous generation. Meanwhile, its single-charge battery life has increased by 150% to four hours, and it supports external power supply to achieve 24-hour uninterrupted operation.

Regarding software and interaction capabilities, the robot supports multimodal two-way interactions, including voice and vision.

Users can engage in zero-code content creation through the LimX Studio application. By simply stating their requirements in natural language or importing a dance video, the robot can automatically learn and generate corresponding exclusive movements.

For large-scale commercial events and spatial performances, the LimX Luna has also introduced an intelligent swarm control feature.

The system supports coordinated performances by up to 200 robots, with movement synchronization accuracy reaching the millisecond level. This feature allows a single person to start the performance with one click, reducing the execution difficulty and labor costs of large-scale robot shows.

The LimX Luna has built a quadruple protection system that includes collision detection, fall perception, action suspension, and multi-terminal emergency stops.

When it senses external pulling or abnormal imbalance, the robot will automatically stop its movements to ensure operational safety in complex crowded environments, the announcement said.

The LimX Luna will become a new generation of content and traffic carrier for commercial spaces such as shopping malls, scenic spots, and exhibitions, the company said.

By providing personalized emotional value and immersive consumer experiences, the robot is expected to create commercial value for commercial service scenarios, LimX Dynamics said.

Sharebot recently raised hundreds of millions of yuan, pushing its valuation to 7 billion yuan ($1.03 billion).
