Alipay partnered with Vanguard, one of the world's largest equity and fixed income managers, to launch a dedicated fund investment advisor "Help You Invest" ("帮你投").
In the past, investors buying funds needed to choose for themselves what to buy and how to match different funds.
Alipay says "Help You Invest" can match investment advice in 1 minute and has almost zero threshold to buy.
Search "Help You Invest" on Alipay and the system will give each investor a risk test, suggesting different target yields based on the results, as well as recommending a matching fund portfolio.
The investor chooses his or her own approved proposal, transfers the amount to be invested and all subsequent investment operations are carried out by the intelligent model and professional team behind "Help You Invest".
The Vanguard Group has been in the fund industry for more than 40 years and has over $6 trillion in assets under management globally, roughly six times the total assets under management of the top 10 fund companies in China.
According to a consumer report, investment income has become the most common source of income outside of wages for people born after 1990, and their first choice for financial management is the Internet, with 84.5%.
The launch of "Help You Invest" also uses Vanguard's proprietary global capital markets model, and 10,000 simulations of each of the major asset classes, including Chinese stocks and bonds, have been conducted to better suit the Chinese market.
In terms of risk tips, "Help You Invest" informs users of a positive to negative return range and leaves the choice to the user.
