The novel coronavirus pneumonia (Covid-19) epidemic has spread to more than 200 countries and regions worldwide but confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia have not yet been reported in some countries and regions.
To date, no confirmed case of novel coronavirus pneumonia has been reported globally in more than 30 countries and territories, most of which are hard-to-reach island countries in the Pacific, such as Nauru, Kiribati and Solomon Islands.
In addition, no confirmed cases were reported in Lesotho in Africa, North Korea, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan in Asia.
Just on 30 April, Comoros in Africa reported the first confirmed case of novel coronavirus pneumonia, leaving Lesotho as the only country in Africa that has not yet reported a confirmed case.
According to the statistics of Johns Hopkins University, as of 21:00 on April 30, Beijing time, the total number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia worldwide exceeded 3.2 million, and more than 200 countries and regions have reported confirmed cases. Most of these countries and regions have seen indigenous transmission and deaths.
Failure to report a confirmed case does not necessarily mean that there are no cases in the country or region.
In addition, cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia have been temporarily "cleared" in Greenland, a Danish self-governing territory, and in the British Overseas Territories of Anguilla and St. Barthรฉlemy, France, in the Caribbean, where confirmed cases have recovered, and no deaths have occurred.
