The two companies will engage in systematic and deep commercial collaboration across key areas, including robot data collection, industrial scenario deployment, and the supply of core components, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
Over the next two years, Spirit AI will leverage Bosch's real-world industrial environments in China, such as factories and logistics centers, to conduct robot data collection and model training.
This collaboration will help build a closed-loop technical system spanning from real-world data to embodied models and back to real-world scenarios, while ensuring high data quality and security.
As a leading global technology supplier, Bosch will also provide Spirit AI with critical components such as actuators and sensors, fully empowering its product development and mass production.
Spirit AI's in-house developed Spirit v1.5 embodied large model has reached a globally leading level, and this partnership marks a crucial milestone for embodied AI as it transitions from technological exploration to large-scale application, the announcement said.
The strategic tie-up closely follows Spirit AI's massive fundraising, highlighting the intense focus and strong confidence of both capital markets and the industry in the embodied AI sector.
On February 24, Spirit AI announced the completion of two consecutive funding rounds totaling nearly 2 billion yuan ($290 million), attracting prominent investors including HongShan Capital and Yunfeng Capital.
Spirit AI CEO Han Fengtao said that Bosch's global supply chain and channel resources will significantly accelerate the iteration and commercialization of the company's embodied large models.
