Meituan, a Chinese e-commerce platform for lifestyle services, has launched campus recruiting in dozens of cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Shenzhen, offering a large number of positions for fresh graduates who will graduate between November 2021 and October 2022.
The recruitment includes 64 job types, including R&D, algorithms, testing, operations, security, product, product operations, design, business analysis, HR and retail.
Meituan has launched the BeiDou Program and the Qihang Program for technical and retail talents and positions.
The BeiDou Program is Meituan's recruitment program for global elite campus technology talents, aiming to train and reserve technology experts who can lead future technology development.
These positions cover research areas including machine learning, natural language processing, knowledge graph, data mining, search and recommendation, computer vision, and operations research.
The Qihang Program is a strategic program established by Meituan to recruit retail campus talents, with the goal of cultivating and reserving digital-minded retail talents.
The program covers 5 major job types and 4 major business directions, and helps employees develop on the platform of "technology + retail" through systematic training.
As previously reported by LatePost, Meituan planed to hire 60,000 people in 2021 to meet business expansion needs, which was scheduled to be completed within one year.
Meituan planed to bring in 6,000 to 10,000 people through campus recruiting. Another 20,000 people will naturally flow out of the company in that year, according to estimates from Meituan's human resources department, according to the report.
Meituan has more than 1,000 HRs, with about 200 of them serving the hiring program. "Hiring 60,000 people is just the beginning," the report said, citing a person familiar with Meituan.
