Chinese display maker BOE will supply it's products to Apple's new iPhones by the end of this year, Wise Finance said, citing unnamed industry sources.
Currently, LG and Samsung are still supplying the iPhone 12 series.
The BOE displays will be used on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, while the flagship iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are still supplied by LG and Samsung, the report said.
BOE has previously supplied LCD screens for Apple's iPhone. iPhone X is the first model in which the BOE has supplied an OLED display to Apple.
BOE has a 6th-generation flexible AMOLED production line in Chengdu and Mianyang, respectively. It was previously reported that the yield rate of the B11 plant in Mianyang, which will start production in 2019, is low at 20 percent, while the yield rate of the B7 plant in Chengdu has reached 70-80 percent, and it previously supplied mainly domestic mobile phones such as Huawei.
