Chinese chip maker Loongson Technology has partnered with Union Tech, the developer of China-made operating system UOS, and Sogou Input Method to pre-install the input method Linux on UOS for Loongson.
The new Sogou Input Method Linux Edition is based on Sogou's latest cross-platform input method architecture, which includes voice, handwriting, foreign language input capabilities and cloud capabilities.
China-made UOS adds support for Baidu's AI deep learning platform
Loongson Technology said that in this collaboration, the three parties have worked together to deeply customize the features of the Linux system.
The result is a more complete and smooth experience on Linux that meets the needs of users with different input habits and language environments, Loongson Technology said.
The Linux version of Sogou's input method will integrate Pinyin and Wubi input methods in late August, and optimize the overall input method architecture and input method dependency library.
Sogou input method is the most routine input method in China, Sogou's first-quarter financial report showed that the daily active users of Sogou mobile input method exceeded 480 million.
