After yesterday's release of the server V20 Enterprise Edition of the Unity Operating System (UOS), its developer Union Tech today released the V20 Professional Edition (1020) for desktop users.
Compared to the previous version, UOS Desktop V20 Professional Edition has a new style of launcher and many powerful self-developed applications, including scan management, backup and restore, installer, file security function.
UOS "terminal" application was also re-launched, with improved stability and compatibility.
UOS Desktop Edition is a self-developed desktop operating system developed by Union Tech based on Linux, with the features of security and stability, intelligent collaboration, and ease of use.
It is compatible with the mainstream processors made in China, and can provide mature information solutions for the government, military, finance and other critical industries.
In this release, Union Tech fixes several known issues and optimizes and improves some existing features.

Backup and restore
New one-click backup/restore portal in Control Center, providing disk restore, system backup, full disk backup, restore all settings, manual restore and other functions.
App Store
The UOS App Store contains apps from different categories, and each app is manually installed and verified. It downloads and installs automatically with one click.
The update adds new features such as one-click update and app filtering.
Text Editor
Text Editor is a lightweight text editor developed by Union Tech that is easy to use and flexible to customize some of its features.
This update includes features such as: add/cancel comments, show/hide line numbers, bookmark function, right-click menu support for text translation, and more.
Voice Notepad
Update: Support new data import, search optimization, text-to-speech optimization, notebook list interaction optimization, interface layout optimization.
Launcher
Update: The new interface layout and application icon design bring more dynamic visual effects and convenient operation experience.
Installer
The installer is a beautiful, easy-to-use, smart installer recreated by Union Tech that requires only a username and password for the installation process.
It has a simple hard drive partitioning process, and users can easily complete the UOS installation in just a cup of coffee.
Scan Management
It not only satisfies simple scanning needs, but also enables post-scanning document/image editing, optimization and recognition.
It helps users to improve the efficiency of scanning, the quality of scanning and save storage space.
Terminal
Terminal, a terminal emulator from Union Tech, has been relaunched for better performance and a smoother experience.
Contact
Contact is an application that integrates address book management, pan-messaging and communication.
It has been updated with new instant messaging feature, so that multi-person remote meetings are no longer limited by space.
File Safe
The Document Safe is a feature service from Union Tech built specifically for user privacy, with encryption technology that guarantees privacy.
Fingerprint Identification
UOS Professional Edition brings a new fingerprint functional framework, providing better guided interaction and more accurate scene prompts.
Users can use their fingerprint to unlock, authenticate and grant administrator privileges, and a variety of Chinese fingerprint hardware is now supported.
