Union Tech, developer of the China-made Unity Operating System (UOS), said on Saturday that it will announce new products on May 15.
The company said the upcoming event will cover the ecological construction of the operating system, the future, and the actual software new product launch.
Ni Guangnan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Huang Tao, director of the Institute of Software Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will deliver a congratulatory speech, and Union Tech Chairman Wang Jiping, General Manager Liu Wenhuan and Senior Vice President Zhang Lei will deliver speeches.
At the same time, a number of eco-partners such as Loongson, Huawei, Zhaoxin, and iFlytek are will participate in the event.
The UOS is a Linux kernel-based operating system developed by Union Tech. It has desktop and server versions. It supports notebooks and desktops of Loongson, Feiteng, Zhaoxin, Hygon, Kunpeng, and other chip platforms.
On January 14, Union Tech released the V20 stable versions of UOS for desktops and servers, which is also the first official version of the UOS V20 series. In December 2019, Union Tech released the first version to the public.
This time it was first launched for partners and developers. The main purpose is to make sure users without a technical background can use the operating system more safely and stably in the near future.
