The Unity Operating System (UOS) and major models of Ricoh Multifunction Printers have completed compatibility adaption, Union Tech, the company behind the UOS said today.
The adaptation is based on CPU platforms such as Loongson MIPS, Zhaoxin X86, and Huawei Kunpeng ARM.
In view of the current Ricoh Multifunction Printers widely used or available for sale in the government, finance, education and other industries in the Chinese market, this successful adaptation of Ricoh Multifunction Printers covers 28 major models in eight categories:
The above-mentioned Ricoh products have good adaptability to the unified operating system UOS. The products are stable in operation and easy to operate and can meet the needs of printing, scanning, and device management in diverse environments.
The UOS is a Linux kernel-based operating system developed by Union Tech. It has desktop and server versions. It supports notebooks and desktops of Loongson, Feiteng, Zhaoxin, Haiguang, Kunpeng and other chip platforms.
On January 14, Union Tech released the V20 stable versions of UOS for desktops and servers, which is also the first official version of the UOS V20 series. In December 2019, Union Tech released the first version to the public.
This time it was first launched for partners and developers. The main purpose is to make sure users without a technical background can use the operating system more safely and stably in the near future.
