China Unicom announced on Weibo yesterday that Guangdong Unicom and Guangdong Telecom have completed the joint construction of 5G network.
Guangdong Unicom and Guangdong Telecom took the lead in completing SA (Stand Alone) co-building shared network verification in 21 cities in Guangdong Province, becoming the first province in China to complete the province's SA co-building shared networking.
China Unicom emphasizes that this is another important breakthrough in the SA field after Guangdong Unicom and Guangdong Telecom opened the world's first 5G SA shared base station.
Tests showed that the downlink rate of Guangdong 5G SA network exceeds 1.2Gbps, the uplink rate exceeds 220Mbps, and the delay is less than 20 milliseconds.
This will support new businesses such as industrial Internet, smart healthcare, and driverless driving.
Industry insiders pointed out that SA network has the advantages of large bandwidth and low latency, which can meet the needs of 5G high definition backhaul, ultra-low latency, and slicing.
The future network, the third-generation Internet, will be deeply integrated with the real economy, and 5G and future networks will become an indispensable part of social life like water, electricity, and air. Network communication technology will become the core foundation for building a future smart society.
