Without U.S. sanctions and GMS bans, Huawei might never launch the HMS program, let alone the Harmony OS and the Ark compiler.

Huawei recently said that the number of developers in the HMS ecosystem has increased from the previous 910,000 to 1.3 million.

Last year, Huawei's mobile phone sales in the overseas market suffered a setback due to lack of access to Google Mobile Services (GMS). However, Huawei has also been looking for alternatives.

Huawei's Honor brand will release the Honor V30 series smartphone equipped with HMS (Huawei Mobile Service) to the European market next week. This will also be Huawei's first smartphone pre-installed with HMS, ifeng.com reported citing people familiar with the matter.
