Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) startup Moonshot has launched a new tool, further expanding its product ecosystem.
The newly released product, named Kimi WebBridge, is a browser extension designed specifically for AI agents, allowing AI to directly operate web browsers.
It supports agents such as Kimi Code and Claude Code, enabling the AI to perform actions like clicking and typing while utilizing the user's existing login status, according to an announcement on Friday.
The tool aims to automate repetitive and tedious web-based tasks. These range from cross-platform data collection to complex quantitative financial backtesting.
Users can continue to use their computers normally while the AI operates designated tabs in the background.
The extension currently requires a two-step installation process to integrate with local AI agents.
However, Moonshot noted that its Kimi Claw Desktop system already has this feature built-in, while a cloud-based solution is currently under development.
For specific tasks with fixed workflows, users can also create dedicated command-line tools that do not consume large language model tokens. This allows the AI to execute repetitive tasks more efficiently when operating the browser, thereby reducing overall computing costs.
The product launch follows the company's rapid financial growth and aggressive fundraising pace.
The startup is close to completing a new $2 billion funding round led by Meituan Dragonball, a deal that has more than quadrupled its valuation in less than half a year.
Driven by robust enterprise demand, Moonshot's annual recurring revenue successfully surpassed the $200 million mark in April.
The company, founded by former Tsinghua University professor Yang Zhilin, is competing fiercely with publicly listed rivals such as Zhipu and MiniMax.
