Noetix Robotics gets CATL-linked backing in push for affordable humanoids

  • Noetix raised nearly 1 billion yuan in its Series B round led by CATL-affiliated funds, aiming to advance mass production of 10,000-yuan-level humanoid robots.
  • This funding follows competitor Galbot's record-breaking 2.5 billion yuan financing, highlighting the accelerating investment momentum in China's embodied intelligence sector.

Chinese humanoid robot startup Noetix Robotics has completed a Series B funding round of nearly 1 billion yuan ($145 million) to accelerate mass production of its 10,000-yuan-level humanoid robots.

The funding round was led by Chendao Capital, an industrial investment platform under CATL, with participation from CAS Investment Management, Beijing Jingguosheng Investment Fund, and Unity Ventures, according to a company statement on Monday.

This signals accelerating capital inflows into China's embodied intelligence sector. Just recently, another Chinese robotics startup, Galbot, secured 2.5 billion yuan in state-backed funding.

Investors are now shifting their focus from pure technological concepts to companies' mass production capabilities and commercialization potential.

Noetix has completed nine rounds of financing to date, including a 300 million yuan Pre-B round in October 2025. The company has now established its own dedicated mass production facility.

Unlike competitors primarily targeting industrial applications, Noetix focuses on the mass consumer market.

The company launched Bumi, the industry's first high-performance humanoid robot priced in the 10,000-yuan range, helping break the industry's high-cost pricing dilemma for similar products.

Noetix's core management and technical team consists mainly of individuals just over 30 years old. This youthful structure enables extremely rapid technological iteration.

In October 2023, the team completed the entire process from concept to manufacturing for its first robot in just 43 days.

During the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala celebrating the Year of the Horse, five Noetix robots performed in a sketch comedy.

To adapt to the limited stage space, the team conducted 21 rounds of motion training for the robots within a month, demonstrating its technical prowess in rapidly adapting to scenario demands.

Notably, Noetix is the industry's sole company developing both bipedal humanoid robots and bionic humanoid robot product lines.

The company's management believes the ultimate form of humanoid robots requires strong interactive capabilities and emotional resonance. Therefore, bionic technology is key to the industry's long-term development.

Through this collaboration with Chendao Capital, Noetix plans to deeply integrate CATL-affiliated supply chain resources.

With reasonable price reductions, Noetix aims to activate massive application scenarios in households and education.

Scalable deployment across these scenarios will in turn drive supply chain efficiency improvements, potentially propelling the humanoid robotics industry into a new phase of widespread adoption and mass production.

Galbot has completed a new round of financing worth 2.5 billion yuan ($363 million), led by state-backed capital.
