NIO founder says determined to compete globally-cnTechPost

Now it is more difficult to compete globally than in previous years, but we have a market like China as a foundation and should be determined to participate, said William Li, founder of NIO, in a speech at a recent event held in Beijing.

According to him, the international situation has changed very much in the past two years, and NIO, relying on such a huge market as China, undoubtedly has a most solid foundation to participate in global competition.

NIO's global management in the early days also laid a very good foundation for the next step into the global market as well, he claimed.

He said:

In the next ten years, we hope that NIO will not only achieve success in China, but we also hope to have our own position in the global market of smart electric vehicles.

Although it's tough, we are still very confident.

NIO is closer to entering overseas markets

He also mentioned in his speech that in China's high-end car market, which is dominated by traditional luxury brands, it is impossible to break through by focusing only on technology, so NIO chose to start from service.

He said that NIO is not only a car company but also a community that starts with cars, an idea that first started in 2012.

He added that NIO is also fully committed to developing the next generation of its smart platform, which will be announced in the near future.

"The ultimate form of smart electric vehicle products is still in the process of being formed, and I believe we will see truly revolutionary smart electric vehicle products in the coming years," he said.
