XPeng says first batch of G3 SUVs arrives in Norway

The first batch of XPeng G3 SUVs has arrived in Norway more than two months after Tesla’s Chinese rival XPeng Motors started shipping the first 100 of its electric cars to Europe.

The first batch of XPeng G3 SUVs has arrived in Norway more than two months after Tesla’s Chinese rival XPeng Motors started shipping the first 100 of its electric cars to Europe.

The Alibaba-backed EV maker announced the information on Twitter on Sunday.

On September 24, A total of 100 XPeng G3i SUVs were assembled at Xinsha Port in Guangzhou and shipped to European customers. This is the first order of XPeng's G3i SUV to be shipped to the European market.

The G3i will be the first to be sold in Norway, and XPeng had said the first vehicles were expected to be available to Norwegian customers in November.

The XPeng G3i series, which made its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show, went on sale in China in April with a guide price range of RMB 146,800 ($21,500) - RMB 199,800.

From June 2020, XPeng started selling the G3i model with an NEDC range of 520 km in Norway, priced from NOK 358,000.

The XPeng G3i sold in Norway has been adapted and optimized for the European and Norwegian local market, both in terms of hardware and software, in order to comply with the relevant regulatory approval standards.

The European version of the XPeng G3i retains the automatic parking assist function and its Xmart OS has been adapted to English and supports English voice recognition conversations.

Xpeng was working closely with Norwegian distributor Zero-Emission Mobility AS (ZEM) to provide marketing and after-sales services to local consumers.
