Since its establishment, Chinese electric car company XPeng Motors (NYSE: XPEV) has applied for 1,574 patents, including 1,511 domestic patents, said Fan Jinbiao, IP manager of XPeng.
Among them, XPeng has been granted 132 invention patents, 294 utility model patents, 202 design patents, and 61 PCT patents, Fan said during a recent property rights trade fair.
XPeng has applied for two intellectual property patents in the US and is committed to building an ecosystem covering the value chain in the industry by differentiating itself with automated driving and smart internet.
More than 500 patents related to XPeng P7 are related to complete vehicles and components.
