Chinese chip maker Loongson Technology said that a kernel exploration book based on the Loongson platform will be released in early August to help kernel developers on Chinese CPU platforms learn the Linux kernel.
The name of the book can be roughly translated as "Loongson Based Linux Kernel Exploration Explanation", and it is co-authored by Dr. Chen Huacai and Loongson Technology.
Dr. Chen Huacai is the main contributor of the Loongson code in the official Linux kernel and is currently working at Jiangsu-based Lemote Technology.
The contents of this book are divided into the following areas: kernel boot analysis, exception and interrupt analysis, kernel management analysis, process management analysis, graphics card driver analysis, network card driver analysis, and power management analysis.
The book is aimed at Linux system developers, especially those who are working on kernel development based on Loongson processors.
It is the first book for Chinese CPUs. It will be based on the latest 5.x kernel, and analyzes the important modules.
