Apple today unveiled the latest version of its smartwatch OS during its online-only WWDC keynote - the watchOS 7.
The update brings some major new features, such as the renamed Activity app, now called the Fitness, as well as new features like sleep tracking, dial sharing and dance workout options.
Sleep tracking is probably one of the most requested features since the Apple Watch first launched in 2015.
Apple says that native sleep tracking will let you set bedtime and wake up alarms, and call up existing Apple Watch vibrating alarm clock.
The new sleep tracking feature helps users make suggestions for waking up and when to go to sleep. "Wind Down" feature minimizes interruptions and creates a personalized evening routine.
The iPhone can be set to display the "Wind Down" screen before the user goes to sleep. It turns on Do Not Disturb, which can suggest things like meditation or quiet music to listen to.
Wind Down puts the Apple Watch into sleep mode, and when it needs to wake up, it can use a quiet Wake up with an alarm clock, or just use the Taptic alarm clock.
It also wakes up with a friendly greeting to start the day.
Sleep tracking uses machine learning to sense movement and detect micro-movements from the rise and fall of breathing. There's also a new sleep section in the Health app that includes the ability to view trends over time.
Developers will now be able to enable richer widget features so users can customize specific dials themselves, as well as work with the others to share dial styles.
These features will be available as curated watch faces in the Apple Watch app store, and also between individuals Share it, or share it as a link on social media sites.
The Workout app now gets a brand new type of dance workout, and the new watchOS now supports bikes too! Fitness tracking for direction awareness and dance workouts.
In addition to this, a new hand-washing time reminding feature has been added to the 7 with a 20-second countdown and tactile feedback.
