Over the past few years, OPPO has been pushing the boundaries of fast charging and it's set to take a new step forward.
A tipster recently said on Weibo that the tech company will be launching SuperVOOC 3.0 with up to 80W of power in 2021.
Currently, OPPO has SuperVOOC 2.0 on many phones including the Ace2, Find X2 and X2 Pro that offers 65W of power.
The Realme X50 Pro implements the same technology under a different name - SuperDart Flash Charge.
All of these devices can charge a large capacity battery in about 30 minutes.
If the technology is eventually released, charging time from 0 to 100% could drop to about 20 minutes! .
Going from 65W to 80W, the additional 15W could be very difficult. But if OPPO can deliver on its 80W charging promise, it could effectively set a new standard for the industry.
