Xiaomi has filed a patent for a new foldable phone, showing a design that bears many similarities to the Huawei Mate Xs, according to Letsgodigital.
This patent was filed with the China Intellectual Property Office (CNIPA) in late 2019 by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Ltd. Design Patent.
The patent, issued on June 5, 2020, contains 19 product images that show the previously invisible Xiaomi Foldable phone.
The patent shows that the Xiaomi smartphone has a bendable display that is located in an external folded position (unfolded).
When folded, the device is similar in size to a regular smartphone, and when unfolded you have a large display.
