China-made UOS completes adaptation with Epson printers and scanners-CnTechPost

Union Tech, the developer of the China-made Unity Operating System (UOS), and Epson announced a partnership to complete the adaptation of UOS and Epson products.

This adaptation work is based on Epson products and systems based on the three CPU platforms of Loongson MIPS, Zhaoxin X86, and Huawei Kunpeng ARM, to test and evaluate the compatibility with UOS, and strive to provide users with products and solutions that are closer to their needs.

The first batch of successful Epson input and output devices include 22 major models in the 4 product series, and the adaptation of more than 100 related products will be completed one after another. The Epson product driver for the adapted Statisys operating system will be released on the Epson website soon.

Union Tech has established three general-purpose hardware and software adaptation test centers in Beijing, Wuhan and Guangzhou, and six R&D centers and seven local technical support organizations nationwide.

Union Tech has extensive and in-depth cooperation with Loongson, Feiteng, Shenwei, Kunpeng, Zhaoxin, Hygon and other manufacturers, and has carried out a full range of compatibility adaptations with many mainstream machine manufacturers, as well as hundreds of hardware and software vendors.

As of now, the total number of UOS adapters for PC, peripherals, basic software, system management, application software, office learning, etc. is over 1000.
