This year's 5G iPhone may feature under-screen fingerprint recognition technology, a media report said today.
The report said that based on Apple's demand, iPhone OLED panel supplier BOE and Qualcomm have jointly developed ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint recognition technology, which is controlled by Qualcomm.
Just last year there were reports claiming that the 2020 iPhone would feature under-screen fingerprint recognition technology.
In addition, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Barclays analysts, and Bloomberg have all said that Apple may release an iPhone with both Face ID and Touch ID support in 2020 or 2021.
Not long ago, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that the 2020 iPhone will not feature off-screen fingerprint recognition technology.
