More and more Apple phone users are now becoming interested in how to use this aspect of AirDrop on Apple's iPhone iPad and Mac computers.
AirDrop is a special service from Apple that allows users to discover nearby Mac and iOS devices and securely transfer files between them via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
When using AirDrop between Mac and iOS devices, you can send and receive photos, videos, documents, contacts, passwords, and any other content that can be transferred from a "shared list".
AirDrop Device Compatibility iPhone and iPad: To use AirDrop on iOS, you need an iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4 or later, iPad mini or fifth generation iPod touch.
Mac: AirDrop is supported on all Mac models released in 2012 and later and running OS X Yosemite or higher.
You can confirm Mac compatibility with AirDrop by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock and selecting "Execute" in the menu bar.
If AirDrop is not listed as an option, your Mac is not compatible with this feature.
How to Adjust AirDrop Settings on iPhone and iPad:
1. AirDrop has two active settings: you can set it to accept shares from anyone, or only from people whose email address or cell phone number is displayed in their contacts.
Alternatively, you can disable the feature altogether. These settings can also be used to ensure you don't become a victim of unsolicited AirDrop sharing.
2. Launch the "Settings" app on iPhone or iPad.
3. Scroll down and click on the regular.
4. Click AirDrop.
5. Click Contact Only or Receiving.
