Twitter user Jon Prosser shared new pictures today, which are suspected to be Apple's unreleased "iPhone 12" design schematics, and its "notch" is smaller than the current iPhone with Face ID.
The first picture looks like a CAD illustration. This type of illustration is sometimes leaked from Apple's supply partners. The second one seems to be based on the prototype of the first one, and draws the details of the hardware contained in the "notch".

In order to obtain a more compact spatial arrangement, the redesigned hardware layout makes the ambient light and distance sensor of the original deep-sensing camera more centrally located, and the iPhone speaker is located above the frame of the phone, rather than between the frame of the phone.
The position of the microphone is not shown in the picture. Prosser said it was not marked because to emphasize other hardware, the microphone is actually located next to the speaker.
At present, many evidences are suggesting that the "notch" of the new iPhone released in the second half of the year may be narrowed, which may be one of the biggest changes in the appearance of the new phone.
