The rumored new iPhone SE (2020 model) will be released in mid-April, GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu said in a recent report.
As it's already April 11, so the new iPhone SE may come as soon as next week.
The new iPhone SE will use a 4.7-inch screen, retain Touch ID, be equipped with an A13 chip, 3GB of memory, and up to 256GB of storage space, previous reports showed.
Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in his report last October that Apple would release a new generation of iPhone SE with a lower price in Q1 2020.
Most of its design and hardware specifications are similar to the iPhone 8, and the most obvious specifications are upgraded to the same A13 processor as the iPhone 11, supplemented by 3GB of LPDDR4X memory.
The color of the new machine will be available in white, black and red. At the same time, Apple will provide five protective covers: black silicone, white silicone, red leather, black leather, midnight blue leather.
In terms of storage, there are three options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
In addition, the new iPhone SE will have the same design as the iPhone 8 with the 3D Touch function removed, further extending battery life.
Kuo said last year that Apple plans to start pricing the new iPhone SE at $399.
Jeff Pu also believes that due to travel restrictions and transportation issues, Apple iPhone 12 may be delayed. Pu said that the iPhone 12 is currently in the EVT phase, which is the engineering verification test. The EVT of the 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 was postponed for two weeks to the end of April, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 EVT was postponed to mid-May.
This means that the 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will be released in September, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 will have to wait until December, which has happened before.
In 2018, iPhone XS and XS Max were released in September, and iPhone XR was postponed until October; in 2017, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were released in September, and iPhone X was released in November.
