OPPO today announced the launch of a minor anti-addiction game system. The system will strictly control the payment of certified minors and unnamed users.
This is also the first batch of game anti-addiction systems launched by mobile phone manufacturers in China.
Earlier, the National Press and Publication Administration issued the "Notice on Preventing Minors from Addicting to Online Games."
According to regulations, during the epidemic, OPPO overcomes development difficulties, completes product deployment, and launches the system as soon as possible.
After the anti-addiction system is launched, users using OPPO phones must complete mandatory real-name authentication when paying for games.
After completing the certification, the system will prohibit top-ups for minors under 8 years of age.
The single recharge for users over 8 years old and under 16 years old is limited to a maximum of 50 yuan, and the cumulative recharge amount per month does not exceed 200 yuan.
For users over 16 years old and under 18 years old, the single recharge cannot exceed 100 yuan, and the cumulative recharge amount per month does not exceed 400 yuan.
Users who have not completed real-name registration will be prohibited from recharging in the game.
OPPO said that it has always been very concerned about minors' addiction to games. Prior to this, rules for regular testing of game products, cancellation of secret-free payment, strict crackdown on induced deductions, etc. have been formulated to curb minors' addiction to online games and excessive consumption.
