UOS announces solutions after Windows 7 stops service

The Unity Operating System (UOS) developed by Chinese developers see big opportunities after Microsoft suspended technical support for the Windows 7 operating system on January 14.

The UOS developer Union Tech said today that as the Windows 7 is being phased out, it made more urgent for the future integration and development of China's information industry.

Union Tech also announced a UOS response plan.

UOS supports X86, ARM, MIPS, and SW-based notebooks, desktops, all-in-ones and workstations, and servers, the company said.

The UOS desktop version is mainly based on desktop application scenarios, including a self-developed desktop environment and a variety of original applications, which can meet users' daily office and entertainment needs.

The UOS server version is mainly based on server support service scenarios. The user-oriented business platform provides standardized services, virtualization, and cloud computing support, as well as high-availability and distributed support to meet future business expansion and disaster recovery requirements.

UOS has five major versions, which are divided into three categories: desktop operating system, server operating system, and special equipment operating system.

In addition, the UOS desktop operating system provides at least five years of support and the server operating system provides at least ten years of support, the company said.
